Star Crusade — A Balancing Act

Hello, dear Star Crusaders!

art_01_1600x900I wanted to let you know that we are aware of the balancing issues that are currently happening throughout the game. We are working on a hotfix today of the main module currently responsible for the havoc — the Terran Tactical Flexibility module — as well as the Annunaki Ethereal Enlightment module.

We are also doing another update at the end of this week, which will include more detailed fixes, such as capping the maximum energy level at 40 and bringing the much-needed ENERGIZE mechanic to 16 cards. That update will also include several fixed and rebalanced cards, as well as tweaked module costs.

Finally, I wanted to give you some idea of what to expect in the coming weeks:
– new free starting modules for every faction
– a hyper vigilant approach to imbalanced modules (since they have a powerful and immediate effect on the game)
– rebalanced conditions for passive modules, and tweaked costs for energy modules, as well as cards with ENERGIZE mechanic
– full (and bonus!) buyback compensation for those modules that were crafted by you and then tweaked by us!

As we continue to implement new features and improve existing ones, we want to assure you that game balance remains extremely important to us — and though we may not get it right the first time, we will continue working on it until Star Crusade is as balanced as possible.
